Here’s the secret to getting things done in your business with more love and less stress: self-care!
I know! You’ve heard it all before and you even have a long list of what you should be doing to take better care of yourself.
More spa days.Vacations.Fun dates. And home cooked meals.
More water.Exercise. Pedicures and facials.
Say “No.” more. Say “Yes!” more.Pray.Meditate. Journal everyday.Be sexy and flirt all day.
But then doesn’t self-care start to feel like another thing on your to-do list that you haven’t gotten to yet?
Self-care isn’t supposed to be so stressful!
Self-care is supposed to relieve stress. To energize you. To help you relax. But the way we’re taught to self-care turns it into another chore to feel guilty about not doing.
I stumbled upon a gentler, more practical way to recharge and relax out of pure necessity. I’m a single mom, with a history of depression and I had just moved all the way across the country for a full-time grad program, part-time job and round-the-clock coaching practice. The circumstances were ripe for a complete meltdown and I (more specifically my son) couldn’t afford to let that happen. So I surrendered to a new way of taking care of myself beyond massages and bubble baths. And surprisingly, I found I got more done, felt lighter, and stopped relying on sugar and nicotine to keep me going.
And I want to share what I learned with you.
Each week I’ll send you a self-care game you can play along with me that’s designed to shift you from feeling stressed out and overwhelmed about your business, to feeling focused and excited to get into action. It’ll be a short, simple and guilt-free treat. Promise. Plus you get insider news on my upcoming courses and links to my interview with inspiring women online. (People always comment that I ask really good questions.)
